The North Face Free Climbing Day – National Brand Activation

On February 28, Movement Gyms partnered with The North Face to host a nationwide Free Climbing Day across all Movement locations. The event offered participants complimentary access to climbing, yoga, fitness classes, and rental gear, creating an accessible entry point for new climbers and fitness enthusiasts.

This collaboration with The North Face was designed to celebrate movement, inspire outdoor adventure, and strengthen community engagement by inviting both members and non-members to experience the gym environment in an inclusive, high-energy setting.

Marketing Strategy

To amplify this national campaign at the regional level, I developed localized marketing initiatives for the DMV Movement gyms I oversee. This included building a grassroots partnership strategy, increasing brand visibility through community engagement, and launching curated teaser content to build anticipation ahead of the event.

    • Branded Instagram feed posts across social media accounts with a count down and announcement.

    • In-gym signage and digital screens to drive foot traffic from current members

    • Email “save the date” footers added to weekly emails.

    • Targeted call-to-actions encouraging RSVPs through eventbrite.

    The result? Two record breaking check ins at two Movement locations in the DMV. Plus, offering a discounted trial pass through North Face partnership to encourage membership sign-ups.
